So much has changed...

Do you ever sit back and think about your life and how much has changed about it in 1, 5, or even 10 years?  I was just thinking, as we are going to head to the State Fair of WV soon, that this time last year I was in between when I had a miscarriage and when I got pregnant with Makayla.  Now I have an almost 3 month old beautiful baby girl that smiles at me daily.

So much has changed in the past year.

I think about how just last week me and Damon celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.  Wow.  Where does the time truely go?  I can still remember when we were dating..engaged..our wedding day..our first few vacations together..just the two of us.  Now we are an 'established' couple with a in a house we own..not rent..with 2 vehicles.

So much has changed in the the past 10 years.

It was 5 years (give or take a couple) when we found our now..home church.  Before that we had been to several different churches, trying to find one that suited us..our needs..both spiritually and personally.  It can be HARD to find a good church..especially when you have 2 people involved in the process and not just 1.  We'd find one I'd like..but he wasn't real thrilled about..and vise versa.  Then...we found 'our' church.

So much has changed in those years leading up to that.

I have to say..I have no regrets.  Everything we've done in the past has led us to where we are today.  Sure, we had our struggles, and still do.  Nobody is exempt from that.  But..I have a lovely life.  A wonderful husband.  Security and peace from my Lord and Saviour.  And a BEAUTIFUL baby girl that I'd give my life for in a heartbeat.

I hope nothing about that changes.

  1. It's so nice to read something from such a happy and at-peace perspective. :) I'm happy for you!

  2. There have been alot of changes in the last few years, but in each change the blessings of the Lord are there and I am so happy for you
Melanie! You have been blessed richly and I just know that as time
goes by the Lord is gonna continue blessing you.

In every changing times remember that the one thing that will never change is the Lord we serve and love...He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow...I love ya and can't wait to see you again!
