Blessing Box

I definately have a blessing to share with everyone today!!!  As some of you may have read in the past couple weeks..I was having to deal with our insurance company alot regarding one of Damons medical bills.  What had happened was this (in a nutshell)..they were saying Damon had a pre-existing condition when he had bloodwork done..when he actually didn't.  The only thing he suffered from was high blood pressure..and as we all know..routine bloodwork checks a variety of things including cholesterol, thyroid problems, diabetes, etc.  None of which he has a problem with!  This was leaving us with a bill of over $800 for a mistake, in my eyes.  After countless phone calls and a variety of things recommended to me..the guy on the phone with the insurance agency told me (after hearing me tell this story a thousand times)..'if I was you, I would write a letter to the administrator and tell them what you just told me'.  Finally, I thought..someone believes me.  So I did just that and mailed the letter off the very same day.

Fast forward 3 weeks later to today.  I go to the post office and see a letter from our insurance company.  I gulp hard..thinking its either a reply to the letter I wrote..or...another bill for myself for when I was dealing with my miscarriage a couple months back.  So I opened the letter up in the car, and yall, it was like the heavens opened and the sun was beaming all around me despite the rain that was actually coming down at that moment!  It was a revised statement of Damons bill..they had read my letter and are going to pay for the portion they were suppost to in the first place!!!!  A savings of around $700!!  I started laughing, crying, and praising God all at the same time!  This has been something that had been laying so heavily on my heart for months now..and thank God..I'm finally starting to see the end of it..and its a good ending!!

Its such a blessing to know that God does hear our prayers..even when sometimes it feels like He doesn't.  I know God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we 'think' He should, but its always good to keep in mind that He knows best.  After all, He knows what the future holds for each of us.  I'm so thankful He heard my prayers about this situation..and that they were answered!  I had actually prayed that whoever at the insurance agency read the letter I wrote would be a Christian and have a heart of understanding.  Even though I don't know who read it..I know God put it into the right hands.  :-)

I hope everyone is having a blessed tuesday out there and joins up at Natalie's and shares in the joy!!

  1. Fantastic! :) Insurance companies are no fun to deal with most of the time, but it's one of those things where you can't live with 'em, you can't live without 'em. I'm glad you were led to get that letter into the proper hands. God is good! :)
